He, who for years had been the articulate voice of the resistance, was ultimately martyred, by divine decree on August 30, 2025, in an Israeli airstrike on Gaza’s Rimal neighborhood. His blood became a seal affirming years of struggle, and the name Abu Ubaida was immortalized in Palestinian history as a national hero and a symbol of steadfastness.
