In August 2025, the Foreign Minister and eight senior members of the “New Social Contract” party in the Netherlands resigned in coordination to express their objection to the government’s policies toward lsrael. This unprecedented action created a widespread political crisis, drew the attention of global media, and showed that even government elites could not remain indifferent.
