The great martyrs of the Islamic Revolution
Martyr Mohammad Javad Bahonar (1933 – 1981)
– Acquisition of religious sciences from Ulama’s such as Ayatollah Boroujerdi, Imam Khomeini and Allameh Tabatabai.
– PhD in Theology from the University of Tehran.
– The Third Minister of Education after the revolution in the government of Bani Sadr.
– The Third Prime Minister of Iran after the Islamic Revolution.
– Chairman of the Islamic Republic Party after Shahid Beheshti.
Finally, on August 30, 1981, just a few days after he became prime minister, he was martyred along with President Mohammad Ali Rajaei in an explosion at the prime minister’s office.
