Martyr General Hossein Salami
FROM POPULAR COMMITTEES TO COMBAT UNITS.
After the victory of the Revolution, he joined the local popular committees. With the onset of the imposed war in 1980, he joined the IRGC and was first deployed to Kurdistan, then to the southern battlefronts. At the age of 20, he entered the battlefield and gradually rose to command units such as the 25th Karbala Division and the 14th Imam Hossein Division. His bravery turned him into one of the influential commanders of the Sacred Defense.
