Hussein al_Houthi held a deep admiration for lmam Khomeini (r.a). Around the year 1980, he made a secret visit to him, and his affection was so intense that he fell in love a hundred times over with lmam’s ideals. Upon returning to Yemen, he carried grand ambitions, aiming to apply the principles of the lslamic Revolution of lran in his own country.
